Today, Thakur’s seven shops dot the landscape of the western Indian state of Gujarat’s third largest city, also known as Baroda. When it comes to ethnic Indian wear collection, there is none to beat Thakur’s in terms of variety and quality. The collection of sarees, salwar kameez and lehenga choli under one roof is simply breathtakingly massive. The first Thakur’s showroom was founded by Arjundas Sadnani in 1968. Since then, every member of Thakur’s family, led by Arjundas Sadnani and Govind Sadnani, worked ceaselessly and with inspiring devotion for building up the business through sheer customer satisfaction and delivering more than their expectations. Five years after setting up the first showroom in Ghadiali Poel, Thakur’s second showroom made its appearance across the road, offering an impressive variety of products spread across 700 square feet – almost three times bigger than the first showroom.
